TeachOER helps faculty navigate the expanding territory of OER. In addition to providing an extensive list of well-established OER outlets, this site showcases OER teaching artifacts and OER materials created and used by college professors at the City University of New York.
The goal of TeachOER is to provide space for faculty to share and find resources, teaching insights, and materials they can re-purpose for their own use. CUNY faculty have collaborated with TeachOER developers (CUNY faculty themselves) to share their OER materials and teaching experiences on this site. CUNY faculty have graciously contributed OER-based syllabi, lesson plans, teaching artifacts, and class activities to provide new faculty with ideas for incorporating OER into their courses.
The site includes teaching artifacts and reflections from faculty who have taught courses such as:
- Foundations of Ecology
- Introduction to Theatre Arts
- International Communication
- American Government, and more.
