Developed as an open-source educational technology initiative at Rice University, OpenStax provides free, peer-reviewed textbooks that cover topics for many of the nation’s highest enrolled introductory college courses.The platform’s first openly licensed college textbook was published in 2012, and the library offerings have since expanded to include more than 20 books for college and AP courses.
